Interns will be trained in local, state and federal consumer protection laws, gain valuable conflict resolution skills and experience firsthand the workings of a state law enforcement agency. As Health Advocacy Interns, will mediate consumer complaints against health care providers and insurers, respond to consumer inquiries via telephone hotline and research current health policy and legislative issues. College and law school students are welcome. Should have good verbal and written communication skills and an interest in dispute resolution, consumer advocacy, governmental affairs or health policy.

Schedule: 10 hours per week
