Job Overview:
A nationally recognized plaintiffs-only law firm is seeking a Mass Tort Associate Attorney to join its remote litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact, complex personal injury and product liability matters, including bellwether and trial preparation. Ideal for attorneys who want to take ownership of cases, contribute to high-stakes litigation, and be mentored by experienced trial lawyers. This is a dynamic role for candidates who thrive in fast-paced, results-driven environments and are eager to grow within mass tort litigation.

Location:

  • New York City, NY

Duties:

  • Handle all phases of litigation from pleadings through trial preparation

  • Conduct and manage discovery, including identifying key documents and preparing responses

  • Take and defend fact and expert depositions

  • Draft litigation documents including motions, discovery, and fact sheets

  • Work directly with expert witnesses, including vetting and preparing for testimony

  • Assist in trial preparation (theme development, exhibits, witness outlines, and filings)

  • Contribute to courtroom proceedings depending on experience

  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on litigation strategy and case execution

  • Manage complex caseloads with independence and initiative

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • 3–5 years of litigation experience preferred (other motivated candidates considered)

  • Experience with complex civil litigation or commercial litigation a plus

  • Judicial clerkship experience is beneficial, but not required

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and manage portions of complex cases independently

  • Strong commitment to plaintiffs’ trial advocacy and client-centered litigation

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction (in good standing)

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities

  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal collaboration

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet deadlines
