Job Overview:
A full-service real estate and business law firm is actively seeking a highly experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join its Scottsdale, Arizona office. The position requires a strong background in all phases of civil litigation, including real estate, contract, tort, and commercial disputes. The ideal candidate will bring 10–15 years of litigation experience, possess excellent legal writing and client management skills, and ideally have a portable book of business. This role is well-suited for attorneys looking to take on leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior attorneys.

Location:

• Scottsdale, AZ

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of civil litigation from intake through resolution

• Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents

• Conduct depositions, hearings, trials, and mediations/arbitrations

• Manage client relationships and provide strategic legal counsel

• Mentor and support the development of junior attorneys

• Contribute to firm growth and practice development

Requirements:

• 10–15 years of experience in civil litigation

• Demonstrated experience with real estate, tort, contract, and commercial litigation

• Proactive and organized approach to case management

• Strong client service orientation

• Appellate or federal court clerkship experience preferred

• Experience in bankruptcy law is a plus

• A portable book of business is strongly preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Arizona State Bar (active and in good standing)

Skills:

• Exceptional legal research and writing skills

• Strong oral advocacy and courtroom presentation abilities

• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities

• Ability to manage a varied and complex caseload independently

• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
