Duties:

  • Handle complex appeals, including those at the U.S. Supreme Court and various federal and state courts of appeals.
  • Assist in preparing legal briefs, motions, and other legal documents for appellate proceedings.
  • Provide strategic advice on tissue preservation and key motions at the trial court level.
  • Work collaboratively with senior attorneys and teams to handle high-stakes, high-profile cases.
  • Support clients through all stages of appellate litigation, from trial to final appeal.

Requirements:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience as a judicial clerk, particularly in a federal or state appellate court, is preferred.
  • A JD from an accredited law school is required.
  • Outstanding academic performance and credentials are essential.
  • Strong motivation, proactive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in legal research and superior written and oral communication.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the State Bar of California, in good standing, and eligible to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Strong oral communication and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
