Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Strategic Transactions and Licensing Associate to join their team in Redwood City, CA. This position offers early responsibility, direct client contact, and exposure to a diverse range of industries, including technology, life sciences, AI, financial services, and consumer products.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate licensing, partnering, and commercial agreements.
• Provide intellectual property, privacy, and product counseling directly to clients.
• Manage transactions across all stages of clients' businesses, from formation to acquisitions.

Requirements

• Eagerness to work with startup and venture capital clients.
• Interest in developing a broad technology transactions skill set.
• JD class years: 2020-2023 or equivalent experience.
• Previous large law firm experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial contracts, venture financing, M&A, or IP litigation.
• Admission to the State Bar of California or Texas.

Education

• Superior academic credentials from a top law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California or Texas.
