Litigation / Bankruptcy Paralegal
The candidate should have 2-3 years of general litigation and/or bankruptcy experience, including assisting counsel in all areas of client representation including drafting correspondence and pleadings; preparing discovery and discovery responses; document management; preparing for depositions, mediation, arbitration and trial, and supporting attorneys at trial. Must have knowledge of court rules and proficiency in paper and e-filing (state and federal) procedures. Should possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills, have an aptitude for detail, the ability to work efficiently, and the ability to prioritize assignments. Previous experience recording billable time is required, as is proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Excel, Word, and state and federal e-filing programs.
