Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity, Privacy & AI Associate to join their team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, privacy, and AI law, working in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Duties

• Advise clients on state and federal privacy laws.
• Conduct deal diligence in mergers and acquisitions, financings, and commercial transactions.
• Provide strategic counseling on product development and governance programs.
• Handle data breach investigations and defense of regulatory actions.
• Support litigation and incident response efforts.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with state and federal privacy laws.
• Experience in large law firm settings.
• Familiarity with data-driven technologies, including AI/ML and biometrics.
• Working knowledge of GDPR/UK GDPR frameworks and international data transfers preferred.
• Experience with data breach response and defense of enforcement actions a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in any U.S. jurisdiction.
