Location

Duties

• Manage a caseload involving Workers' Compensation and other litigation defense matters

• Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda

• Respond to written discovery and draft dispositive motions

• Conduct depositions of parties and expert witnesses

• Prepare case evaluations and status reports

• Conduct legal research and analysis

• Participate in mediations and court appearances

• Communicate effectively with clients, claim professionals, opposing counsel, and colleagues

• Handle matters independently from inception to resolution under the supervision of a partner

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of defense litigation experience

• Prior Workers' Compensation defense experience preferred but not required

• Familiarity with state and federal court procedures

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Demonstrated experience in depositions, legal drafting, and motion practice

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida

Skills

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Excel

• Strong time management and prioritization skills
