A law firm in Seattle is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its Real Estate, Land Use & Environmental group. The ideal candidate will focus on the development, acquisition, and disposition of projects, portfolios, and multistate acquisitions. This role involves direct interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and various stakeholders. The position offers a collaborative work environment with opportunities to engage in public service matters and land use projects.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on real estate development, acquisition, and disposition, including multistate transactions.
  • Negotiate, draft, and review real estate agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, and financing documents.
  • Manage complex real estate transactions and ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for real estate projects.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support transaction strategies and client advisories.
  • Work closely with attorneys and staff to provide excellent client service and support.
  • Participate in public service matters and contribute to community-focused initiatives.
  • Utilize land use experience, if applicable, to address zoning, land use, and environmental issues.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State or ability to waive into practice in Washington State.
  • 3-6 years of experience in real estate law, including real estate transactions, leasing, and financing.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Client-oriented approach with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in community service and public service matters.
  • Land use experience is a plus.
