The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and representation in civil rights cases. The role requires a deep understanding of constitutional law, and civil liberties and effective advocacy skills to protect and promote the rights of clients.

Duties:

• Handle a diverse range of civil rights cases, including discrimination, constitutional violations, and other civil liberties issues.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop compelling case strategies.
• Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and appellate briefs.
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediation, and court proceedings.
• Collaborate with civil rights organizations, advocacy groups, and community stakeholders.
• Stay informed about changes in civil rights laws and precedents.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active State of Illinois and/or Missouri Law license, in good standing.
• 0-10 years of experience in civil rights.
• Strong knowledge of constitutional law and civil rights statutes.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
