Finance And Billing Manager
The candidate will be responsible for the firm’s bookkeeping and financial reporting, oversight of the firm’s billing operations, and will collaborate with the management team to analyze finances and develop budgets. Duties include bookkeeping, financial reporting, maintaining the firm’s general ledger, oversight of the firm’s billing operations and collaboration with the management team to analyze finances and develop budgets. Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding and processing payments. Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition. Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete and up-to-date manner. Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly, quarterly, annual and as-needed basis. Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely matter and submit payroll taxes. Processing all expenditures and ensuring proper documentation. Provide general oversight of firm billing and collections functions. Preparing financial reports, budgets, cost reports and financial forecasts on a regular basis. Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards. Coordinating provision of information to external auditors and accountants for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual filings. Ensure compliance with local, state and federal reporting requirements and tax filings. Working with management in determining the level of profitability of the company within a specified time. Work with management to evaluate budget variances and ensure fiscal responsibility within the firm’s operations. Work with management to recruit, select, onboard and train billing and finance employees. Must have Degree in accounting, finance or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience: Bookkeeping; Accounts payable and receivable; General ledger accounting; Financial reporting; Finance management (legal experience a plus); Billing & collections; Payroll. Must have demonstrated understanding and compliance with general accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Must be self-directed and have excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with common office equipment and applications including: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and QuickBooks (experience with Tabs3 a plus). Should have excellent oral and written communication, dependability, professionalism, strong client relationships (internal and external).
