Job Overview: A law firm in Washington, DC, seeks a skilled Mid-Level Associate Attorney with 4-7 years of experience in complex finance transactions. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in sponsor-backed leveraged finance and a broad range of finance transactions, representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents. This role involves being a key member of deal teams, managing fundamental aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing.

Duties:

• Serve as a key member of deal teams, managing fundamental aspects of transactions.
• Conduct thorough due diligence processes.
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on complex finance matters.
• Assist with the preparation of legal opinions and memoranda.

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience with complex finance transactions.
• Significant experience in sponsor-backed leveraged finance.
• Experience representing borrowers, lenders, and/or agents.
• Must be licensed and in good standing in Washington, DC.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in Washington, DC.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of finance and corporate law.
