General Real Estate Partner
The candidate will handle all aspects of complex transactions for clients of all sizes and across industries. Will also have the opportunity to gain direct client interaction, business development experience, and significant responsibility for complex and sophisticated legal matters. Should preferably have significant experience representing property owners, developers, lenders, and investors in their acquisitions, dispositions, sales, financings, leasing, and development of the commercial real estate. Must have strong real estate experience in various transactional matters, including commercial office and retail leasing, development, lending, and financing. Should also have experience handling title, survey, entity, and other real estate diligence matters. Additional experience in commercial lending and banking transactions, including commercial real estate loans, asset-based loans, or other secured credit facilities of varying types, is a plus. Experience in affordable housing, low-income housing tax credits, or historic tax credits is also preferred. Experience with entitlement, zoning, and tax issues relating to real estate and construction transactions is also preferred. Must have excellent writing and oral communication skills. Attention to detail, self-directed, and an ability to work efficiently on several different matters at a time is required. Must lead, negotiate, manage and close complex transactions, as well as draft material agreements and documents. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Portable book of business preferred.
