Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level Construction Associate to join their team in New York, NY or St. Louis, MO. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse construction projects, both nationally and internationally, providing hands-on experience in transactional and litigation matters.

Duties

• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering practical solutions throughout project lifecycles.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver integrated service on complex construction matters.
• Draft and negotiate construction agreements, including design-build and EPC contracts.
• Support complex transactions related to real estate development and construction projects.
• Conduct due diligence and legal research for project development and risk management.
• Assist in resolving construction disputes through arbitration and litigation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of sophisticated real estate practice experience; prior law firm experience required.
• Construction law experience is highly valued, but not mandatory.
• Admission to, and good standing with, the State Bar of New York or Missouri.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of New York or Missouri.
