This role involves frequent travel to offices in Buckhannon, Clarksburg, Parkersburg, and Morgantown for litigation-related appointments. The position is hybrid, allowing the candidate to be based anywhere in West Virginia or the Pittsburgh area.

Duties

• Represent clients in employment-related litigation, ensuring their rights are protected.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative legal strategies.
• Engage in negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable settlements.
• Provide clear, actionable legal advice to clients.
• Maintain open communication with clients regarding case progress.
• Conduct discovery, depositions, motion practice, and jury trials.
• Manage a case load and ensure cases progress efficiently.

Requirements

• Experience on the plaintiff's side of litigation.
• Experience in deposition, sophisticated discovery, and mediations.
• Proven track record of drafting, reviewing, and filing motions and pleadings.
• Strong collaboration skills for developing legal strategies.
• Expertise in negotiations and mediations for client settlements.
• Ability to provide clear, actionable legal advice.
• Previous experience managing a case load.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
