Product Tort and Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm in Santa Ana is seeking a Product, Tort, and Insurance Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate must have experience handling written discovery and depositions, drafting pleadings and substantive motions, attending mediations and court appearances, and assisting at trial. Additionally, candidates must have a good academic record and excellent research and writing skills.

Duties:

• Handle various aspects of product liability, tort, and insurance litigation matters.
• Conduct written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Prepare and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and court appearances.
• Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis and advice to clients.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in product liability, tort, or insurance litigation.
• Good academic record from an accredited law school.
• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Experience with written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Education and Certifications:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Knowledge of civil procedure and evidence rules.
