A law firm seeks a motivated associate attorney to join its Tax Credit and Impact Finance group in Denver, CO. The ideal candidate will have zero to five years of transactional experience and a keen interest in community development transactions involving new markets tax credits, historic rehabilitation tax credits, and renewable energy investment tax credits.

Duties

• Assist in structuring and executing community development transactions.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
• Collaborate with team members on complex financial transactions.
• Advise clients on tax credit and impact finance matters.

Requirements

• Zero to five years of transactional experience.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
• Superior academic performance.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

• Strong interest in community development transactions.
• Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs is beneficial.
• Commercial real estate or lending experience is advantageous.
• Proficiency in structured finance and federal income tax is preferred.
