A law firm seeks a mid-level or senior Litigation Associate to join its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in Honolulu, Hawaii. The ideal candidate will possess strong academic credentials, a commitment to excellent client service, and the ability to manage complex litigation and investigations.

Duties

• Manage all aspects of disputes from inception through trial and appeal.
• Appear and argue in state and federal trial and appellate courts.
• Take and defend depositions, working with witnesses and experts.
• Draft and prepare trial court, arbitration, and appellate briefs, pleadings, and motions.
• Conduct legal research and write memoranda.
• Manage complex disputes, including discovery and document review.
• Support business development and other litigation-related matters.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaii and in good standing.
• Strong litigation skills, including persuasive legal writing and case management.
• Significant deposition and court experience required.
• Litigation experience in a law firm preferred.
• Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Hawaii.
