An established and litigation-focused law firm is seeking a passionate and skilled Trial Attorney to lead cases involving nursing home negligence and medical neglect. This fully remote opportunity offers the chance to focus exclusively on litigation, backed by a dedicated support team. The role is ideal for attorneys who thrive in the courtroom and are driven to deliver justice for vulnerable individuals who have suffered harm in medical or care facility settings.

Location

Duties

  • Represent clients in cases involving nursing home abuse, elder neglect, and medical malpractice

  • Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and memoranda

  • Develop case strategies and coordinate with expert witnesses for trial preparation

  • Lead courtroom activities such as depositions, jury selection, opening/closing arguments, and witness examinations

  • Manage trial logistics and coordinate with in-house support teams

  • Provide empathetic and informed legal guidance to clients navigating complex medical and legal issues

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • Active Bar license in South Carolina (in good standing)

  • Minimum of 3 years of courtroom and trial experience

  • Strong background in nursing home neglect, elder abuse, or personal injury law is a plus

  • Proven ability to independently manage litigation from discovery through verdict

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications

  • Active membership in good standing with the South Carolina Bar

Skills

  • Outstanding oral and written advocacy

  • Skilled in trial presentation and courtroom strategy

  • Ability to develop and execute persuasive case theories

  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
