Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Supervisory Attorney in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves assisting the State Level Attorney with case management, prioritizing tasks, and supervising Associate Attorneys and Paralegals. The Supervisory Attorney will also manage their own litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and counterclaim defense.

Duties

• Monitor contested litigation files to ensure timely completion by Associate Attorneys.
• Assist with managing emails from clients and Associate Attorneys.
• Ensure Associate Attorneys' diaries are current.
• Review contested work product before client approval.
• Oversee the discovery process with Associate Attorneys and Paralegals.
• Appear in court up to three days per week.
• Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Assist with training new Associate Attorneys.
• Prepare and respond to discovery, handle depositions, and oversee counterclaims.
• Review and sign off on pleadings for court filings.
• Draft various motions and responses to contested matters.
• Manage contact with opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and admittance to Arizona Bar required.
• 5+ years of litigation experience required.

Education

• Juris Doctorate
