Intellectual Property Litigation Patent Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm in San Francisco is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation (Patent) Associate Attorney with experience in patent litigation. The preferred candidate will have an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, materials science, physics, or an equivalent degree. An advanced degree or industry experience is a plus. Membership in the Patent Bar is preferred.

Duties:

• Handle patent litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis related to patent infringement and validity issues.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Assist with discovery, including document review and preparation of discovery requests and responses.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and third-party experts.

Requirements:

• Experience in patent litigation.
• Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, materials science, physics, or an equivalent degree.
• Advanced degree or industry experience is a plus.
• Membership in the Patent Bar is preferred.

Education & Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Membership in the Patent Bar is preferred.
