A distinguished law firm based in San Diego, CA seeks a mid-level to senior litigation associate to support its high-stakes insurance and commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in complex legal disputes and demonstrate a strategic, analytical approach to litigation. Duties:

• Handle all phases of complex litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and appellate proceedings

• Draft and review pleadings, motions, legal briefs, and memoranda

• Conduct legal research and prepare sophisticated analyses for litigation strategy

• Engage in discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review

• Collaborate with clients, experts, and co-counsel on case strategy and factual development

• Participate in court appearances, hearings, and oral arguments

• Contribute to team-oriented case development while also taking ownership of specific litigation components

Requirements:

• 4-8 years of hands-on litigation experience, preferably with exposure to insurance-related matters

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active cases and deadlines simultaneously

• Strong oral advocacy and client communication skills

• Prior courtroom experience, including depositions and motion practice, preferred

• Track record of producing well-organized, analytical, and persuasive written work

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school with strong academic performance

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar

• Good standing with the State Bar of California

Skills:
