Job Title: Senior Personal Injury Attorney - Auto Accident Division
Job Overview:
A prominent law firm headquartered in Houston, TX, is expanding its litigation team and seeks an experienced and proactive attorney to lead personal injury cases within the Auto Accident Division. This position is suited for a dynamic legal professional with a proven track record in managing a high-volume caseload and supervising legal staff. The opportunity includes representing clients from intake through resolution, including trial when necessary. Ideal candidates will bring both litigation prowess and team leadership skills to the role.
Duties:
Oversee personal injury matters from initial intake through resolution
Analyze potential auto accident injury claims and advise prospective clients
Draft and revise legal documentation, including pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand packages, and settlement agreements
Conduct legal research related to case law, liability, and applicable statutes
Collect and evaluate evidence, including medical records, insurance documentation, and expert witness materials
Maintain ongoing communication with clients, opposing counsel, insurers, and healthcare providers
Negotiate settlements in line with client interests and legal best practices
Appear at hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
Supervise and mentor a team of legal assistants and paralegals
Maintain thorough documentation in the case management system
Requirements:
Minimum of 7-12 years of experience in civil litigation with a focus on auto accident personal injury
Demonstrated ability to manage and lead legal teams effectively
Experience managing a high-volume caseload with competing priorities
Mediation or arbitration experience preferred
Track record of client-focused communication and relationship-building
Analytical mindset with strong decision-making abilities
High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in legal research and writing
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license in good standing with the State Bar of Colorado
