Job Title: Employment Litigation Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A law firm located in Escondido, CA, is seeking a dynamic litigation associate with 2-6 years of experience to join its employment law practice. The selected candidate will play a key role in representing clients in workplace-related disputes, both in court and in arbitration, and will provide strategic advice on compliance and risk mitigation. Duties:
Manage employment-related legal disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful discharge claims
Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery requests
Prepare and argue motions in state and federal courts and arbitration forums
Take and defend depositions
Provide preventive advice and legal support to clients on workplace practices and policies
Work closely with clients and internal teams to develop effective litigation strategies
Assist, where applicable, on collective or representative action matters (including PAGA claims)
Participate in case evaluations, negotiations, and settlement discussions
Requirements:
2-6 years of civil litigation experience
Demonstrated interest or prior experience in labor and employment matters
Proficient in handling multiple litigation matters concurrently
Strong analytical, legal research, and writing abilities
Capable of working independently and collaboratively
Admission to the California State Bar is required
Experience with class or representative action defense is a plus, but not required
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school
Certifications:
Active member in good standing with the California State Bar
Skills:

Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Familiarity with employment law statutes and procedural rules
