Core Responsibilities
Draft, review, and revise property occupancy contracts, including commercial, retail, and mixed-use lease agreements.
Negotiate lease provisions on behalf of property owners, developers, or tenants with a strategic and client-first approach.
Collaborate with in-house or external stakeholders, including brokers, engineers, and title professionals, to ensure transactional precision and deal alignment.
Interpret local, state, and municipal regulations that may affect real estate use and compliance.
Guide lease renewals, terminations, and dispute resolution when necessary.
Support due diligence reviews concerning leased properties as part of broader transactions.
Key Qualifications
Licensed to practice law in New York (active and in good standing).
1 to 6 years of experience in legal practice, with a background or consistent exposure to real estate leasing.
Previous involvement with commercial or retail lease negotiations is preferred.
Strong drafting acumen, attention to detail, and ability to tailor language to client goals.
Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Long Island or New York City area.
