Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in New York City, NY, seeks an experienced Insurance Coverage Associate Attorney to join its dynamic practice group. Duties:

• Conduct a comprehensive review and legal analysis of insurance claims and related causes of action

• Perform extensive legal research and draft persuasive briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate submissions

• Maintain an annual billable target of 1,950 hours

• Represent clients at hearings, arbitrations, depositions, and court proceedings

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests in a timely and strategic manner

• Retain and collaborate with expert witnesses for complex coverage matters

• Assist in trial preparation and participate in trials as needed

• Engage in occasional travel as case demands arise

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience handling insurance coverage matters preferred

• Active license to practice law in New York; additional state admissions considered an asset

• Proven ability to produce superior legal writing and analytical work

• Demonstrated success in oral advocacy and communication

• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team setting

• Strong client service orientation and responsiveness to communications

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar (additional states a plus)
