Duties

  • Advise clients on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations

  • Conduct environmental due diligence for corporate and real estate transactions

  • Represent clients in environmental litigation matters, including enforcement actions

  • Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, environmental assessments, and regulatory filings

  • Coordinate with technical experts and environmental consultants

  • Handle client communications and provide strategic legal counsel

  • Support senior attorneys with complex environmental cases and negotiations

Requirements

  • 2 to 6 years of experience in environmental regulatory, transactional, or litigation work

  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental statutes, including CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, and CAA

  • Proven ability to manage multiple assignments with minimal supervision

  • Experience working with private companies and government agencies is a plus

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar

  • Eligibility for reciprocity or admission in the state of practice (if not already licensed)
