Job Overview

A law firm seeks a driven and experienced General Liability Partner to join its New York City office. This role offers a high-impact opportunity for a litigation attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated to manage a robust caseload while contributing to strategic client outcomes.

Duties

• Independently manage a high-volume caseload of general liability matters, including complex litigation files.
• Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Provide proactive, high-level client communication and reporting.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality legal service delivery.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support staff as appropriate.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in general liability or related civil litigation.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar (required).
• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active admission to the New York State Bar.
