Job Overview: A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Baton Rouge, LA. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school, and admission to the State Bar Association. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court, negotiating settlements, and collaborating with other legal professionals.

Job Duties:

• Conducting legal research and analysis on various issues
• Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts, as well as reports to the client
• Representing clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
• Assisting with deposition preparation and strategy
• Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
• Managing and organizing case files and documents
• Collaborating with other attorneys and legal professionals

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience (preferably)
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar Association

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the State Bar Association

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Experience in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
• Knowledge of Westlaw, Lexis-Nexis, or other legal research tools
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
