Duties

  • Represent clients in patent infringement and related IP disputes in federal court proceedings.
  • Assist with all phases of patent litigation, including pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal and technical research related to patent validity and infringement.
  • Draft and review litigation filings, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Coordinate with experts on technical issues and expert reports.
  • Support preparation for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Assist with PTAB proceedings and related USPTO matters.
  • Support commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes and business torts.
  • Manage assigned litigation tasks efficiently across multiple active matters.
  • Interface directly with clients on litigation status and strategy.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on multidisciplinary matters.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical rules and confidentiality requirements.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the New York State Bar.
  • USPTO Patent Bar admission preferred.
  • 3-7 years of litigation experience, with exposure to patent and/or IP litigation.
  • Background in science or engineering is a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex matters and multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Pro, and legal research platforms.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active member of the New York State Bar.
  • USPTO Patent Bar admission preferred.

  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and attention to detail.
