Senior Tax Consultant - Mergers and Acquisitions Tax
The candidate will organize and analyze computations, workpapers, schedules, and other items related to client transactions to determine target tax exposures. Perform technical research supporting positions taken while drafting tax structuring plans. Perform due diligence and draft due diligence memorandums. Assist with client tax planning and provide business expertise based on working knowledge of client industries and experience with broad entity types. Organize and analyze data provided. Communicate and collaborate with team on progress, updates, etc. Meet deadlines and complete work products to drive successful client engagements. Supervise staff and actively participate in engagement planning and decision-making. Keep up to date on current tax practices, technical issues, and changes in tax law. Actively participate in training. Should have a Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, tax, or other closely related field. CPA, EA, or JD licensure preferred. Should have 2-4 years of professional tax or accounting experience, preferably within a large professional services or public accounting environment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
