Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Innovation Attorney and Practice Advisor to join their team in Washington, D.C. This role is integral to the Practice Innovation and Technology team, working closely with attorneys to transform legal service delivery through AI and emerging technologies.

Duties

• Serve as a consultative partner to diagnose legal workflows and identify AI opportunities.
• Analyze workflows to develop innovative delivery models using AI tools.
• Lead sessions with client teams to address pain points and co-develop solutions.
• Manage AI pilot programs from inception to deployment within practice groups.
• Collaborate on AI tool adoption and enablement within practice groups.
• Design and deliver training sessions on AI tool usage for attorneys.
• Coordinate with the Knowledge and Practice Intelligence function to optimize AI tool effectiveness.
• Maintain an understanding of the GenAI landscape and evaluate new tools.
• Contribute to technology selection decisions with a practitioner's perspective.
• Represent the firm's innovation capabilities in client-facing contexts.

Requirements

• JD and 3-5 years of practice experience at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Consultative mindset with the ability to build consensus.
• Fluency in AI and technology, with a critical understanding of its value.
• Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts for various audiences.
• Experience as a change agent in technology adoption.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) required.

Certifications

• DC Bar admission is required.
