The candidate work for Division: Public Interest. An Assistant Attorney General in the Special Litigation Bureau is responsible for all aspects of the investigation and litigation of assigned cases, including investigative memoranda, pleadings, discovery, court appearances, witness interviews, depositions, mediations, settlements, and generally representing the interests of the People of the State of Illinois. Should have 3 years of legal experience and be licensed by the State of Illinois at the time of application. Will have a demonstrated commitment to public service work, sound judgment, excellent research and writing skills, and a judicial clerkship or complex litigation experience.
