Senior Vice President, Commercial Property Claims

Responsibilities: Supervise Property claims examiners and develop their claims handling skills while providing quality assurance. Will effectively manage performance issues, compensation, and claim financial metrics. May also be required handle a reduced caseload of complex and/or high-exposure property claims by communicating with insureds, conducting thorough coverage analyses, working with defense counsel, formulating and executing plans of action, effectively analyzing exposures through liability and damages assessments, setting timely and appropriate reserves and negotiating the resolution of cases. Review and develop departmental protocols for the handling of claims and posting of reserves. Work with the Property claims team, underwriting team, actuarial unit and ceded reinsurance unit to communicate claims developments and trends.
