The candidate scans and copies documents, saving them to Document Management System as directed by RML. Prepares records for internal or offsite storage (per document retention policy). Destroys scanned documents (per document retention policy). Organizes and maintains physical files and performs data entry into the firm's RIMS (Records & Information Management System). Performs other related duties, as required. Understands legal office work, procedures, forms, documents, and terminology. Keyboards skills with the ability to type 40 wpm. Understands and follows complex verbal and written instructions. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of workWorks knowledge of English grammar, spelling, written format, and punctuation with effective written, verbal, and listening skills. Operates a variety of office equipment, such as typewriters, copiers/scanners, and computers Should be able to manage workflow effectively, balancing the interests of internal clients. Safeguard confidential materials. Should have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to travel to our other Maryland offices.
