A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their team in Tampa, FL. The successful candidate will represent individuals and companies throughout the State of Florida in insurance defense matters, including medical malpractice, personal injury, automobile negligence, and premises liability.

Job Overview:

• Represent clients in insurance defense matters within the State of Florida.
• Engage in fact investigation, case strategy development, and records collection.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective legal counsel.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and trials as necessary.
• Prepare thoroughly for trials, ensuring all necessary documentation and evidence are in order.

Duties:

• Conduct fact investigations to gather pertinent information for cases.
• Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
• Collect and organize relevant records and evidence.
• Maintain regular communication and collaboration with clients to provide updates and gather information.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required.
• Prepare thoroughly for trials, including drafting legal documents and preparing witnesses.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Florida State Bar.
• 2-7 years of experience practicing law, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong knowledge of Florida laws and regulations pertaining to insurance defense matters.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Certifications:

Admission to the Florida State Bar.
