Part-time Conflict Resolution Associate/Conciliator/Mediator

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Associate Director and/or the Director of the Loyola Center for Conflict Resolution, this conciliator will serve as a phone conciliator, an intake person, and assist in community outreach efforts. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish preferred. Will include, telephone conciliation, preparation of bilingual materials, assisting in data entry, supervision of law students, back up mediator, correspondence and other duties as directed by the Associate Director and/or the Director. Effectively interact with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and ethnic groups. Demonstrated commitment to community service. Effective interpersonal and communication skills to create successful partnerships with faculty, students, staff and external groups. Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral). Ability to see, analyze, assess, and identify problems and opportunities for resolution, to take initiative to resolve disputes according to the facilitative mediation/conciliation model, The CCR policies and procedures, and applicable laws regarding mediation. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines, often with competing priorities. Keen attention to detail. Computer competency with Microsoft Office suite and other relevant technology.
