Duties:

• Represent clients in liability insurance defense cases, managing cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Prepare and present cases in court, including taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and managing trial preparations.
• Develop case strategies, provide legal advice, and negotiate settlements as appropriate.
• Manage case files using the firm's case management system, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure effective case management and resolution.

Requirements:

• 3-10 years of liability insurance defense experience.
• Proven ability to handle cases from inception through trial.
• Strong litigation skills, including experience with depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases efficiently.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to thrive in a flexible work environment with hybrid and remote options.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to practice law in the state of Florida, in good standing.
