Job Overview: A law firm located in Madison, WI, is seeking a Mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney with at least 4 years of real estate or related transactional law experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various aspects of real estate law, including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, managing due diligence processes, handling real estate development and financing transactions, and engaging in acquisitions and dispositions. The position requires a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, excellent academic credentials, and the ability to adapt to evolving needs and best practices. The successful candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Duties:

• Drafting and negotiating purchase agreements and closing documents
• Conducting title, survey, and other due diligence reviews and management
• Handling real estate development projects
• Managing real estate financing transactions
• Overseeing real estate acquisitions and dispositions
• Facilitating commercial lease transactions
• Addressing zoning, land use, and condominium matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of real estate or related transactional law experience
• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Excellent academic credentials
• Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Ability to work well independently and within a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
• Strong oral and written communication skills
