A law firm seeks an associate attorney in El Paso, Texas, to join their growing practice. The firm is dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation in bankruptcy law and is looking for a motivated individual to contribute to their team.

Duties

• Meet with prospective clients to evaluate financial situations and discuss bankruptcy solutions.
• Attend creditor meetings and handle court hearings, including confirmation and lift stay hearings.
• Prepare and file responses and motions in court.
• Conduct legal research as needed.
• Maintain communication with clients, trustees, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Texas.
• Preferably admitted to the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Enjoy meeting, helping, and communicating with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff.
• Capable of handling a large caseload.
• Available to work Saturday mornings.

Education

• Juris Doctorate

Certifications

• Active Texas law license
