A boutique law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney who is compassionate, experienced, and client-focused. This role involves managing a diverse caseload involving divorce, custody, legitimation, child support, and domestic violence. Location:

Duties:

• Handle all aspects of family law matters from intake to trial or settlement

• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, settlement agreements, and trial documents

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda

• Appear in court for hearings, trials, and mediations

• Advise clients on legal rights and strategies tailored to their cases

• Negotiate settlements and parenting plans

• Work closely with support staff to ensure timely and efficient case progression

• Maintain accurate case files, notes, and billing records

• Stay updated on changes in Georgia family law

• Attend firm meetings, training sessions, and contribute to client development initiatives

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in family law preferred (other litigation experience considered)

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize effectively

• High emotional intelligence and client empathy

• Strong advocacy and courtroom presentation skills

• Familiarity with case management and legal billing software preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia (required)
