This highly visible executive management position provides leadership, direction, and general administrative oversight to the Community Development Department and employees responsible for the community’s growth management. Focus for this position is the supervision/implementation of the City’s Master Plan, Harbor Plan, grants, tourism, conservation, fisheries & harbor programs. Work involves significant community engagement and public involvement with elected officials, citizens, neighborhood groups, and other governmental entities. As a member of the City’s senior management team, collaborates with the Mayor’s office, City Council, and other City departments on strategy and policy to ensure that the City’s mission and core values are incorporated into operational activities and services. Promotes and supports diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace and in program offerings. Salary range is $99,840.17 to $125,438.28.
