Program Director, Gift Planning
Duties: Work with benefactors, other development officers, faculty, staff, and key volunteers to explore creative, tax-efficient ways for donors to support the university while accomplishing various financial and personal goals. Will personally manage a dynamic pool of individual planned giving and major gift prospects who have demonstrated or been identified as having an interest in a current or deferred gift. Will assist other front-line fundraisers with planned giving discussions and donor presentations, serve as a mentor and resource, and provide formal training on relevant topics. Will develop and implement prospect-specific strategies to identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, steward and recognize University-wide major and planned gift prospects through individual visits, personal communication, event participation, and volunteer activities. Will contribute to the development and production of electronic and print marketing materials for the Office of Gift Planning. Will report to the Senior Director of Gift Planning and will join a dedicated, University wide advancement team, working together to establish Notre Dame’s financial security and expand its unique vision for the future. Will represent the University with leading benefactors within a certain geographic area in the United States, to identify, cultivate and successfully manage a portfolio of prospective benefactors with a capacity to make planned gifts (including charitable trusts, charitable gift annuities, bequests, gifts of real estate, gifts of appreciated property and securities, and gifts of retirement plan assets and life insurance policies).
