Senior Director, Gift Planning
The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the gift planning program, including marketing seminars, luncheons, referrals, letters, direct mail radio and television. You will monitor all legal and financial matters involving planned gifts, including litigation, estate administration, employment of outside legal counsel and financial administrators. Will play an integral role representing Scripps and presenting institutional funding raising priorities to public and private organizations. This is an ideal position for someone with a personal track record initiating and closing major planned gifts. Legal experience on the technical aspects of tax, estate planning, charitable gifts of real estate, wills and trusts, Charitable Remainder Trusts, and Charitable Gift Annuities among other complex options is advantageous, in conjunction with your experience being part of and leading a team and getting planned gifts across the finish line. As Senior Director, Gift Planning at Scripps, will collaborate with various members of the financial community, including attorneys, financial planners and CPA’s, in addition to working with internal financial and legal colleagues.
