Paralegal - Estate Planning & Elder Law
The candidate should have 2 years of experience as a Paralegal (estate planning and elder law experience preferred). Will be primary client care coordinator, so will be working with people, especially seniors, in regards to their estate planning and elder law needs. Will also be primary assistant in drafting estate planning and elder law documents and assisting clients with the funding of their estate plans so they actually work, so this team member must be a self-starter who completes numerous documents in a timely manner while maintaining a standard of excellence, has superb writing skills, can help clients understand their legal documents (without practicing law) and has an ability to adapt to changing priorities and interruptions with the desire to be a long-term member of team. Should also have a good working knowledge of financial assets since they will be assisting family members gather, organize, administer and eventually distribute assets of decedents. Must have 2 years as paralegal, preferably in an estate planning, elder law and trust administration matters. Must have a paralegal certificate and either be a Notary or willing to become one. Must be tech savvy and very proficient with Word and Excel.
