Description

We are seeking a talented Principal, Cloud Platform Architect to lead our journey of Tech Modernization as we migrate strategic workloads to the public cloud environments. The ideal candidate for this position should have extensive experience with architecting and designing enterprise Cloud platforms and infrastructure. This role ensures that the migrated workloads have optimal performance, continuity and efficiency in virtualized, on-demand environments. Provides strategic guidance to the Cloud migration and execution teams. This Principal Architect will also have an industry view of all the emerging tech that may be utilized to achieve our best outcome.

Create platform solutions at Azure and GCP to enable application teams to execute CI/CD pipeline deployments of their applications into defined Landing Zones

Create and review technical designs and decisions, help the organization to become more proficient in using public Cloud platforms and services

Collaborate with technical and business leadership to define technical direction

Stay abreast of leading edge technologies and architectural patterns to make the best technology decisions

Lead the “current state” to “future state” transformation with focus on agility and speed to value

Evangelize the platform’s technical vision and architecture to the teams, leadership, and external stakeholders

Provide recommendations to senior executives on matters of significance, and as an advanced subject matter expert


Required Qualifications


5 yrs large-scale Cloud software development or engineering with recent experience in designing, building and deploying to Azure

Experience with Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration (CI) and automated deployment

Experience working with highly scalable and mission critical architectures

Expertise in modern cloud architecture and history of successful implementation of complex Azure solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and the ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders

Expert knowledge of emerging technologies and design principles within Azure


Preferred Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree or above (Computer Science, Bio Engineering, Electronics and Electrical Engineering or related fields)

Experience working in an Agile product operating model

Healthcare industry experience

A reviewable portfolio of industry/academic white papers, patents, publications, etc.
