Arkansas Unemployment Rate Falls to 7.1% in April, reports State Department of Workforce Services

EmploymentCrossing reported that jobs in the state's Education and Health Services sector have also risen more than 25% over the decade. An in-depth 17 May study by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that the growth in civilian labor force has shot up impressively over the April 2012 figures.
On a month-to-month comparison, the employment rate for March and April seem similar in certain sectors. For instance, manufacturing jobs in Arkansas have remained close to last month's figure at 155,600. But, other sectors have absorbed more workforce. Government job employment this April has been recorded at 216,000. This is a rise from 215,800 in March. Arkansas' tourism sector (leisure & hospitality) has employed 102,300 this April, up from 101,600 during March. Likewise, the construction sector has employed 46,400 employees during April. This is up from 46,300 recorded in March. Further, EmploymentCrossing reports a marked rise in jobs in the Trade, Transportation and Utilities sector.
