Pasadena, CA - Jobs growth continues to improve in California according to the latest EmploymentCrossing research data. The company website reveals 219,036 active jobs in the state and claims that the number is subject to increase further. This finding is in line to the monthly Regional and State Employment and Unemployment report released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics on 18 July. The report indicates that the state's unemployment rate has slid to 8.5%, which is good news. But, the California jobs report shows that a large number of positions created in June were in low-paying industries. Of these many were part-time jobs. The unemployment rate has only slightly decreased from May to June, yet it is a notable 2.1 point drop from June 2012.Only EmploymentCrossing consolidates every job it can find in the domain and puts all of the job listings it locates in one place.
