Manufacturing Manager Jobs

A manufacturing manager is responsible for reviewing production orders or schedules; planning department operations; coordinating with the supply-chain and warehouse departments. The manufacturing manager reviews production reports and does the required material requirements planning. He ensures that machines and equipment are in operational condition; develops and revises standard operational and working practices. The manufacturing manager ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. The manufacturing manager analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data, trains staff on procedures and machining principles and supports senior management in the strategic management of the organization.

Successful applicants for manufacturing manager positions typically have a bachelor's degree, preferably in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or industrial engineering. 4+ years of experience in an industrial manufacturing setting should suffice to be eligible for these positions. Experience in an ISO standard company or knowledge of lean manufacturing processes may also be helpful in some positions.
