Mental Health Jobs

The mental health workers works with mental rehabilitation agencies and service providers to facilitate mental case coordination and information sharing. He is responsible for referring mental and abnormal child victims and their families to appropriate community agencies such as crisis intervention, legal advocacy, and medical counseling agencies for mental, physical, social, and educational needs. The mental health workers maintain case records and provide assistance with appropriate documentation. The mental health workers work closely with mental rehabilitation and mental hospitals and also law enforcement agencies, schools, health, and welfare agencies. He assists with prevention/education curriculum development and mental health presentations. The mental health workers may also provide some direct supervision to interns and volunteers related to various cases.

The mental health workers job candidate should at least have a bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university and a major in social work or a related field. Previous experience in criminal justice, human services, and professional training in child abuse is recommended.
